About Peter

Peter Dinning is a UK-qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with more than 35 years of professional experience across the full spectrum of the real estate sector. Having lived and worked in Asia since 1997, he is widely recognised as the longest-serving Chartered Surveyor in Southern Vietnam, with deep, hands-on experience spanning fund management, investment and development, valuations, design and development consultancy, corporate advisory, and the establishment of multi-disciplinary real estate service operations.

Over the course of his career, Peter has played key leadership roles in the creation, expansion, and management of major funds, large-scale development portfolios, and international real estate practices across Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Mauritius. He has personally led transactions exceeding USD 1 billion, established multiple companies from the ground up, and advised governments, corporates, and international investors on highest-and-best-use planning, development strategies, valuations, and investment execution.

Today, Peter is the Principal and Chairman of Avison Young Vietnam and Cambodia, owning the affiliation rights for Vietnam and Cambodia and overseeing operations in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Danang, and Phnom Penh, with mandates extending across Asia–Pacific.
